The Arduino® Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328 (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
The Uno differs from all preceding boards in that it does not use the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip.
Additional features coming with the R3 version are:
"Uno" means "One" in Italian and is named to mark the upcoming release of Arduino® 1.0. The Uno and version 1.0 will be the reference versions of Arduino®, moving forward. The Uno is the latest in a series of USB Arduino® boards, and the reference model for the Arduino® platform; for a comparison with previous versions, see the index of Arduino® boards.

電源設計:
Arduino® 的供電系統有兩種選擇,USB直接供電或外部供電。電源供應的選擇將會自動切換。外部供電可選擇AC-to-DC adapter 或者電池,此控制板的極限電壓範圍為6V~12V,但倘若提供的電壓小於6V,I/O口有可能無法提供到5V的電壓,因此會出現不穩定;倘若提供的電壓大 於12V,穩壓裝置則會有可能發生過熱保護,更有可能損壞 Arduino®。因此建議的操作供電為6.5~12V,推薦電源為7.5V或9V。
